Simon Japangardi Fisher

Community Media Worker (Archive)

Simon has been working for PAW Media for around 12 years. His main role has been involved in the maintanence of the 26 year old Warlpiri Media Archive, this includes the critical task of digitising video content onto the digital server. Simon also provides cultural liason and advice services to visiting researchers and media. In 2010 Simon was enrolled in a Certificate III in Media.

Elizabeth Napaljarri Katakarinja

Community Media Worker (Video)

Elizabeth Napaljarri Katakarinja is an Arrente woman from Ntaria with Anmatjere and Warlpiri connections. She speaks four languages and is a well known painter. Elizabeth is experienced in directing and editing short documentaries and community news bulletins. In 2010 Elizabeth was enrolled in a Certificate III in Media.

Adrian (Simba) Jupurrurla Nelson

Adrian, otherwise known as Simba is one of the original Bush Mechanics Jupurrurla gang. Simba is a Warlpiri man with strong skills in directing, archive work and translating. Simba's role involves selecting content for local community TV, as well as supporting PAW Media's feature documentaries

David Slowo

Video Producer (Community)

David joined PAW Media in March 2010. He has been working as a producer in film and television for over five years, specialising in post production and visual effects. As community video producer, David works closely with PAW Media's video staff to facilitate coverage of ongoing community events as well as specific video productions planned throughout the production cycle. He also helps coordinate video training blocks held at PAW Media to further develop the skills of the video production team.

Jason Japaljarri Woods

Community Media Worker (Video)

Jason is a young Warlpiri man who has been working for PAW Media since 2006. Jason is well established in media production and has particular talents working with graphic art and design.  From mid 2009 Jason embraced animation production working on various projects and undergoing mentor based training at PAW Media. In this short period he has produced almost ten short animations using a variety of animation techniques and mediums including both traditional stop motion animation and digital compositing in both Flash and After Effects. Jason won the best emerging talent award at the 2010 Remote Media Festival in Thursday Island among others for his amazing animation productions. Jason completed a Certificate III in Media in 2010.
