Story about the blue tongue lizard
Blue tongue Nungarrayi stayed at the soakage place. She was crying for Jangala. Nungarrayi started singing for her husband.
She was crying, 'M m m m'.
She was crying for Jangala. Jangala made a fire and Nungarrayi could see the fire and started crying. She started walking carrying the fire stick but the fire went out. The fire was still burning a long way off and then she started crying again for Jangala. She went and saw that Jangala had left for hunting. Jangala came home and saw Nungarrayi and was happy to see her.
Jangala asked Nungarrayi, 'Yeah, what did you come for?'
Nungarrayi said, 'I have come for you because of the fire you burned and it made me feel lonely for you'.
They both went away happy and stayed forever at Karrinyarla at the soakage. Two boys were born at Karrinyarla and they became blue tongue lizards. That's why you can see that blue tongue lizards have a special dark mark under their eyes from crying.
