Weekend transmissions from iCTV are received in a majority of PAW communities. Using the Westlink satellite service iCTV plays out a compilation of video content from various Remote Indigenous Media Organisations (RIMOs). PAW contributes approved video content for playout on iCTV which reaches some 50 remote communities over a large geographical area covering parts of the NT, WA and SA.
New automatic switching devices allow the iCTV schedule to playout on weekends between 6pm on Friday night and Sunday midnight without an operator patching it into the local transmitter. With these new switchboxes 10 PAW communities are now receiving iCTV weekend tranmissions.
