Talking story on the Nyirrpi Road
31 May 2011
PAW Radio has been out recording again this week. This time, PAW's Elizabeth Napaljarri Katakarinja recorded senior Yuendumu woman Coral Napangardi Gallagher, talking about Jukurrpa sites on the Nyirrpi road. Elizabeth points out that Yapa drive along this road all the time, but many don't know a lot about the stories that are part of that country. Napangardi stopped at various places along the road and explained their meaning. PAW Radio plans to record a series of 'On the road' programs, about other well-known roads in the area.
