Nguru Walalja : excerpt only
16 April 2011Written by Gordon Jangala Robertson
From the Aboriginal Rules soundtrack.
Director's notes:
"This song has been one of the favourites in Yuendumu for years. Originally recorded with BlackStorm, this track was just Gordon and his acoustic guitar live to air in a PAW radio broadcast in 2002. This is one of those songs that you can listen to over and over again. It talks about land, culture and family... things very important to Warlpiri people, which is why we chose it to play during the football montage at the end of the documentary".
