    Perhaps you might be wondering what our website title means? Yapa is Warlpiri for Aboriginal people. Kurlangu means belonging . So the website title Yapa-kurlangu radio means radio belonging to the Aboriginal people of people of Central Australia.

    We also have a video streaming site for some of our current community video productions as well as snippets from our well known productions such as Bush Mechanics. Our 25 year old Archive of content developed since PAW Media first started as Warlpiri Media Association now has its own website called Nyurru-warnu.  Check it out for our “pre-digital” videos, audio and still images..

    PAW Media and Communications is a community managed organisation based at Yuendumu in the Northern Territory. It started out in 1983 as Warlpiri Media Association growing from its Yuendumu base to provide radio and video services to communities spread from Lajamanu to Kintore to Pmara Jutunta to Ali Curung and all communities in between.
